A quick p.s. to my last post...I am now on Twitter. You can follow my tweets by going here! Or check out the live Twitter Feed in the side column of my blog ;)

I've taken a brief blogging hiatus while I've been working on a flurry of custom orders recently--necklaces and earrings which are now making their way to their new homes...
You may have noticed that I've also taken a hiatus in participating in the My Creative Space blogging meme during my recent move, but I plan to resume doing this post weekly!
But before I get to this week's sneak peek of what's on my desk, I wanted to say thank you to Miss Emma Lamb, who was kind enough to feature some of my earrings in a lovely, mossy-colored Treasury...which just happened to grace the Front Page of Etsy yesterday evening! I was lucky enough to snag a screen shot of it before it disappeared...
...but to see all the wonderful items in much more detail, visit this link here. (My Paisley Earrings can be glimpsed in the center of the third row.)
And in a very interesting creative synchronicity....My Creative Space this week mirrors the muted color palette of Emma's selections...
Right now I'm working on a new design for my Wedding Collection...a necklace pendant just glimpsed in the bottom right corner underneath a tangle of beads...my creative process is order from chaos! I become inspired by unexpected juxtapositions of beads and threads and colors and textures that occur from working this way...
And here is a close-up of the necklace's pendant...as you can see, it is quite long and elaborate, made of three separate silver lace motifs dotted with pale blue flowers and vintage rhinestones...
And above is another view of it...I'm thinking of putting it on a delicate silver chain, dotted with more amazonite, pearls and vintage rhinestones...it should be in my shop in the next few days!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

I finally snagged a Treasury spot on Etsy and thought I would share the results--a Spring-themed collection in soft pastel colors:
It features the work of (from l to r starting at top):
DesiraPesta, RoyalBuffet, ThisYearsGirl, YumiYumi, Ambera, MagnolijaDRESS, JudeMcConkey, EmmaLamb, Rochelle31, TaralynnStudio, SkinnySwallow, and JacqueleenBleu.
UPDATE: Just found out the Treasury was featured on the Front Page of Etsy this morning--congrats everyone! :)
And in a similar vein, I wanted to show some pictures of a new design in my Etsy shop--perfect for a bride, or as a romantic Spring accessory--
It's part of my new Bridal Collection, to which I'll be adding more designs in the upcoming weeks.
The bracelet has a focal motif of my hand-made lace, dotted with dozens of tiny vintage seed beads, and embellished in the center with a ring of freshwater pearls, and a single vintage rhinestone. I tried out some new techniques on this piece, namely the opulent clusters of beads on either side of the lace motif..
and the way I made the sides of the bracelet, by stringing freshwater pearls onto strands of beading cable for a clean, simple look that I think contrasts nicely with the intricacy of the lace...
And speaking of weddings, I'd like to thank Brenda of Brenda's Wedding Blog.com for featuring my Robin's Egg Earrings in one of her recent posts! She has a lovely and inspiring blog full of interesting wedding ideas.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend--I'm off to finish up some custom orders :)
p.s.--thanks for all of your comments about my new studio space! The wall paper is growing on me--I think I'll let it stay for now ;)

First, a quick thank you to all of the well wishers who left such sweet comments on my previous post--yes, we've moved into our new place and are settling in! It's wonderful! I've been unpacking, organizing, creating, and getting centered these past few weeks.
Here is a little peek at my new studio space...
Above is a still life on my desk...a vintage tin that was my grandmother's, spice bottles full of buttons and a landscape painting I did. I will be painting the walls soon now that the weather is warming up and the windows can be opened--the pre-existing wallpaper is a bit dark and busy!
A view of my desk--a little untidy with a work in progress :) The room gets really nice natural light...A mannequin is in the corner (I used that for the project for Courtney Love, that's why it's all padded) and my favorite parasol...
And here is a shelf in my studio with three of my collections: vintage Oriental dolls, vintage tins, and New York souvenirs. I put finished earrings on the mug rack :)
Another view of my desk with the essentials--beads, tea, and a cd player for music!
And last week after days and days of rain and snow, look what appeared outside our front door...
The largest rainbow I've ever seen, in a perfect arch across the sky!
