My Creative Space...

 I wanted to do this post yesterday, but it was unfortunately too dark to take photos by the time I got to it!

I've been working on a new style of earrings, a variation on the BonBons, but with an overlay of lace...

{The light green silk is some new thread that I just received--love the color!}

I'll post some photos when I've finished them...

I also just completed a special order for a bride, in shades of teal and aquamarine, with touches of silver, crystal and white--the deep cerulean is a color that I never would have thought of for wedding earrings, but the contrast is quite pretty!

Bohemian Monday...

For this week's Bohemian Monday, I've chosen items in a purple color scheme, with hints of magenta, from the Bohemian Embellishment Flickr Pool....

I'm really inspired by this color palette right now--in fact, I just finished up a new pair of BonBon Earrings in purple...

They're a little bit more elaborate than previous pairs, as I tried out my lace cabochon setting technique to create the amethyst drops...

My Creative Space...

Today I've been thinking about resurrecting a heart-shaped necklace motif in time for Valentine's Day

{or even year-round, it has been a popular style for me in the past!}...

Catching up...

Oh dear--it has been a long time since I've posted!

The coming of a new year and the cold, snowy days always makes me turn introspective, and I've been thinking about new designs, new ventures, new directions...

{oh yes, and doing the dreaded year-end inventory!}

I'm happy to say that 2010 is already shaping up to be an exciting year, with a flurry of some wonderful online exposure...

First, I was recently asked by the editor of Izzy Magazine  to include some of my jewelry in an upcoming photo shoot for their premier issue {this was the exciting news I mentioned in an earlier post!} The editor, Melissa, is a talented wedding photographer, so I'm really looking forward to seeing the results from the shoot. The magazine will be launching online in February, so as soon as I have more info, I will share it with you!

Then, my Garlande Earrings were featured on Nina Renee's

romantic inspiration board...

and I was nominated for The Poppies over on Poppytalk.

{My mother and I were laughing about the name of the awards, because her nickname for me is "Poppy" (short for "Poppet") so it seemed fitting. }

In other news, the Creative Space group is starting back up this week, so I'll be resuming my weekly sneak peek posts. I've also decided that I'm going to now alternate my Flickr Finds posts every other week--it will still be Bohemian Monday and Fairy Tale Friday, but I was getting a bit overwhelmed doing both posts each week.

And, I reached my 1,000th ♥ on Etsy last week, an exciting milestone for me. As a thank you, I think I'm going to celebrate with a give-away, perhaps in time for Valentine's Day. Stay tuned for more details!

Mint and Rose Petals...

I'm loving the combination of silver, pink and turquoise :)

These were the earrings I was working on in my last post, and are part of my Wedding Collection for Spring...they feature lots of AA rose quartz briolettes, pink tourmaline, pink freshwater pearls and tiny vintage rhinestones.
